From Seattle, the I-5 becomes Hwy 99 at the border. From the
Victoria Ferry, follow the signs to Vancouver and you will merge
with Hwy 99. The highway then turns north toward the mountains,
through the Massey Tunnel and later over the Oak Street Bridge.
When
you have crossed the Oak Street Bridge, remain on Oak Street
until you come to 41 st Avenue.
Turn left on to 41st Avenue, and
travel west for five blocks to Granville Street, and turn right.
Travel north on Granville St (towards the mountains) and cross
the Granville St Bridge into downtown. Near the far end of the
bridge, take the second exit (PACIFIC ST. WEST) on your right,
which will loop under the bridge to Pacific Street. You will
be traveling west. Continue in that direction.
Pacific Street
becomes Beach Avenue which contours the beaches of English
Bay toward Stanley Park. Remain in the left lane of
Beach Avenue to the last street before Stanley Park, Chilco
Street.
Turn
right on Chilco and travel 2 streets north to Comox Street.
Turn
right on Comox Street - English Bay Inn is the second building
from the comer on your right-hand side. It is set back between
two highrises, but as you turn the comer, you will see the
discreet sign on the lawn.
On the outside of the arrivals area, check with the Airporter
dispatch and ask for the bus to the Coast Plaza Hotel. It will
stop on the corner of Comox and Denman St. English Bay Inn is
two short blocks down Comox to the left.
